Australia Hosts MMA Show ImpactFC

Impact Fighting Championship (FC) is excited to announce that they have secured new fighters, including Australian fighters for the Sydney and Brisbane card, which will take place on the 10th July at Brisbane Entertainment Centre and the 18th July at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. On the revised card for Sydney, the card now includes Elite XC Champion, Murilo Ninja Rua taking on Ultimate Fighter, Jeremy May.
Key Australian fighters for The Uprising 1 in Brisbane, include: Brad Morris, Felise Leniu (NZ), Daniel Lima, Michael Mortimer, Dylan Andrews and Steven Kennedy. Australian fighters for The Uprising 2 in Sydney, include: Soa Palelei, Peter Graham, Jim Yorke, Marko Peselj, Richie ‘Vas’ Vaculik, Luke Hume, Shane Nix and Manuel Rodriguez. Due to new fights being scheduled, the fight cards for both events have changed slightly to accommodate these exhilarating new fights.
On top of what is already a great fight card for Brisbane, The Uprising 1 will now also see, Former UFC fighter an famous MMA Star, Jeff Monson take on Aussie fighter, Brad Morris, a dangerous Bodog veteran, with an MMA record of 10 wins and 4 losses. The current heavyweight champion of Portugal, Bira Lima will go up against New Zealander, Felise Leniu who is heavy handed, making for an interesting fight. Local fan favourite in Australia, Daniel Lima will take on Brisbane local, Michael Mortimer. Middleweight fighter in Australia, Dylan Andrews will take on local based fan favourite, Steven Kennedy.
The Uprising 2 fight card which takes place in Sydney will also be a phenomenal tournament, with the likes of Ken Shamrock, Pedro Rizzo, Paul Daley, Daniel Acacio, Bob Sapp, Soa Palelei, Murilo Bustamante, Jesse Taylor, Paulo Filho and Denis Kang already on the card, the local fighters add even more excitement to this amazing event. New additon, Murilo Ninja Rua, will have his brother Shogun (incredible UFC fighter) as his corner man throughout his fight to Jeremey May. Australian kickboxing legend, Peter Graham will go head to head with the #1 ranked heavyweight MMA fighter in Australia, Jim Yorke. Popular MMA star, Glover Teixeira will take on Croatian fighter who is now based in Perth, Marko Peselj. Popular Australian surfer and MMA star, Ritchie ‘Vas’ Vaculik will take on local Aussie fighter Luke Hume. Local Australian MMA rising star, Shane Nix will go up against local Sydney fighter, Manuel Rodriguez.
Impact FC has secured some of the worlds best fighters for their upcoming tournaments and will feature some huge names including Pride and UFC veterans. Fans will be thrilled to know that ‘Big John’ McCarthy, former head referee for the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be the referee for The Uprising series. The Sydney show will go live from 12:00pm on the 18th July on The Main Event PPV and throughout USA at 10:00pm on the East Coast and 7:00pm on the West Coast and Canada on July 17th. Footage from all fights will be available via The Main Event.
